Coach Pfeifer on McCrary: “The time away from basketball has benefitted Mike. I perceive he has a better understanding of the opportunity to play and it shows in his approach on the court. He is a really good athlete who can shoot the ball away and really gets up and down the court. He is wiry strong and we need for him to be a special rebounder for us this season and he has the ability to do that.”
Cal State Northridge (2006-07): Played in seven games for the Matadors in 2006-07 ... averaged 4.7 points and scored 33 points ... he went 9 of 22 from the field and 11 of 15 from the line and knocked down four triples.
College of Eastern Utah (2005-06): played one season at the College of Eastern Utah in Price, Utah ... averaged 19.5 ppg while shooting 40% from three-point range as the Golden Eagles finished 21-10 in 2005-06 ... earned All-SWAC honorable mention honors ... earned his associate of arts degree in science ... competed against former Yellowjacket and 2008-09 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Sportsman of the Year, Travis Bunker, while playing for the Golden Eagles while Bunker was at the College of Southern Idaho.
High School: Graduated from high school in 2002 ... earned letters all four years at Hanford West High School in Hanford, Calif. ... earned First Team All-WSL honors as well as being named Second Team All-Kings/Tulare County ... was chosen to play in the County All-Star game ... the Huskies finished 22-7 and won the league championship in 2001-02 ... averaged 12.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg as a senior ... graduated in 2002 with a 3.0 grade point average. |
